Can I bring my own detergent and fabric softener?
Absolutely, that’s no problem at all! You are welcome to use your own detergent and fabric softener. If you happen to forget it, you can also purchase it from the vending machines in the laundromat.
What are your opening hours?
Yes, The Wassjop is open every day from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, including Sundays! So you can come whenever it suits you best.
How does the washing machine work?
It’s very simple! Choose the machine that fits the amount of laundry you have (6.5 kg or 13 kg). Load your clothes into the machine and pay at the payment station. Then, select your desired wash program and press start. If you have your own detergent and fabric softener, you can add them. Otherwise, you can also buy them from the vending machines in the laundromat. For more detailed instructions, please see our Instructions page.
How much does it cost to wash and dry?
Our prices are as follows:
- Washing (6.5 kg): € 5.00
- Washing (13 kg): € 10.00
- Drying: € 2.00 per 6 minutes.
You can pay with cash at the payment machine. Please note: the machine does not accept 5 cent coins and € 50 banknotes.
How can I pay for the washing machines and dryers?
The Wassjop operates on a cash system. You can pay with coins and/or banknotes at the payment machine to add credit. Then, select the machine of your choice. There is also a change machine available if you need smaller denominations.

Is there someone available to help?
The Wassjop is a self-service laundromat, so there isn’t always staff on-site. However, don’t worry, the machines are easy to operate, and we have clear instructions on the machines and on our website. If you’re really having trouble, please contact us at +31 6 21 53 78 37 during office hours, and we’ll be happy to assist you!
